Job Summary:

As a member of the Purchasing department, this role will play a key part in receiving, storing, issuing, and distributing food and beverage products throughout the hotel.

This position requires a team-oriented individual who can work in a fast-paced environment and maintain a high level of accuracy in receiving and storing products. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and be able to work effectively with various departments to ensure seamless operations.

The Food and Beverage Storeroom Clerk will be responsible for receiving all food and beverage deliveries, sorting pallets for proper storage, and checking product quality and quantity against ordered goods. They will also be responsible for organizing receiving worksheets and return authorizations, physically inspecting produce and beverage coolers, and completing spoilage reports for inventory control.

This role requires a high school diploma or general education degree (GED) and valid U.S. Driver's License. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, be enthusiastic, and have excellent interpersonal communication skills.

Occasional heavy lifting (up to 100 lbs with assistance) may be required, and the work environment may be indoors and outdoors at times.

Responsibilities:
  • Receives all food and beverage deliveries and sorts pallets for proper storage
  • Checks product quality and quantity against ordered goods
  • Organizes receiving worksheets and return authorizations
  • Physically inspects produce and beverage coolers and completes spoilage reports for inventory control
  • Assists in monthly food inventory and adheres to the FI-FO (first in-first out) concept in storage/issuing of all products
  • Pulls, organizes, and loads requisitioned items on transportation carts from freezers, coolers, and dry storage areas
  • Issues pick-up orders to departments and delivers food storeroom requisitions by hand cart to main building kitchens/outlets
  • Prepares food storeroom requisitions for distribution by truck to all other outlets and pulls and delivers beverage requisitions based on a bottle for bottle system
  • Checks quality and quantities of requisitioned goods with originating department representative and returns completed and signed requisitions to inventory control clerks for computer processing
  • Reacts appropriately to all emergency orders and assists in pickup of ordered goods as necessary
  • Cleans storerooms, equipment, freezers, and coolers on a scheduled basis and participates in all inventories

Requirements:
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred
  • Valid U.S. Driver's License required
