We are currently looking for Lead Teachers to become part of our Threes preschool programs across various campuses.
- Apple Ridge/Gaithersburg - conveniently located near major highways
- Clarksburg - adjacent to popular shopping outlets
- Greenwood / Hyattsville - easily accessible via public transportation
- NRC/Rockville - situated near vibrant community spaces
- Potomac Village - located in a central area with public transport options
- Sunny Days - close to a major university with public transport access
The positions available are full-time. Our approach goes beyond traditional daycare; your role will involve addressing the unique needs of our students while promoting their independence in a nurturing and supportive environment.
Compensation for this role starts at $22 per hour, contingent upon the necessary qualifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Address the educational needs and interests of preschool-aged children through a creative and developmentally appropriate curriculum.
- Oversee preschool children to ensure their health, safety, and overall well-being.
- Support the physical, emotional, and developmental growth of each child in the classroom.
- Exhibit effective leadership within the classroom team.
- Maintain strong communication and positive relationships with children, families, colleagues, and the community.
- Implement classroom management strategies that foster a safe and positive learning environment for all students and staff.
Qualifications:
Candidates for the Lead Teacher position in our Threes preschool program must possess a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in early childhood education , or a Bachelor's degree in a different field along with the MSDE 90-hour Preschool Certification, or a Bachelor's degree in an unrelated field with a preschool CDA.
The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of relevant experience and the following skills:
- Strong understanding of child development principles and instructional strategies.
- Familiarity with MSDE regulations.
- A warm, friendly, and composed demeanor.
- Proficient technological skills, including Microsoft Office.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Dependable attendance and punctuality.
- Highly organized with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
- Team-oriented and collaborative.
In accordance with Maryland State Department of Education Office of Child Care regulations, all applicants must undergo and successfully complete a state and federal background check as a condition of employment.
