Job Summary:

As a Medical Assistant at Schweiger Dermatology Group, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our team of healthcare professionals. We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate individual to join our team in our Forest Hills office.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Patient Care: Promote a professional and welcoming atmosphere to enhance quality of service and care offered to patients and for respective provider(s)
  • Assisting Providers: Assist physician in medical, cosmetic and laser procedures
  • Recording and Documentation: Assist provider in recording prescribed treatments, medications, biopsies, cultures, photos, prescriptions, prior authorization and procedures within established guidelines
  • Preparation and Maintenance: Prep rooms before and after patients, including checking all equipment at the beginning of each shift to ensure all is in proper working order
  • Communication and Education: Provide pre-care and post-care treatment instructions as needed
  • Inventory and Supply Management: Daily scan all retail and cosmetic products and medical supplies and alert Head MA and/or GM of any low level supplies
  • Continuing Education: Attend all in-house training and continued education opportunities
Requirements:
  • Healthcare Experience: Healthcare experience required
  • Certifications and Skills: Nationally Certified Medical Assistant preferred, experience using EMR software and patient scheduling systems, computer savvy and familiar with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Soft Skills: Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills, excellent patient relation and customer services skills
  • Availability: Open availability to work during weekdays and weekends

  • Competitive Pay: Hourly Pay Range $16—$20.50 USD
