Job Summary:
Spectrum Health Systems, Inc. is seeking a skilled Nurse to join our team in an Outpatient Treatment Program. As a Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Medication Administration: Administer medication to clients as outlined in medication administration policy, ensuring accurate and timely delivery.
- Medication Control and Documentation: Maintain control and accurately count onsite medication, documenting all transactions and discrepancies.
- Client Education: Educate clients on the use, purpose, side effects, and other relevant information relating to medication-assisted treatment.
- Order Verification and Transcription: Verify medication orders with the physician and transcribe physician's orders accurately and efficiently.
- Admission Process and Documentation: Assist in the admission process and document substance use diagnosis as required.
Requirements:
- License and Certification: Must be a MA Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse, with a current CPR certificate or obtain certification within 90 days of hire.
- Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Must be able to express self adequately in written and oral communication, and communicate effectively in an interdisciplinary, culturally diverse setting with clients, families, staff, and regulatory agencies.
- Experience: Experience in substance abuse/mental health field or an acute care inpatient healthcare environment is preferred.
