Compensation: $17 to $20/hr., with benefits
Position Summary
This entry-level role is designed to provide comprehensive office support through various clerical activities and related tasks. The receptionist is tasked with managing incoming calls, directing them to the appropriate personnel, handling mail distribution, and overseeing supply requisitions, alongside additional clerical responsibilities. The account assistant will offer support to Account Managers and Producers, with the expectation of obtaining the Idaho Property and Casualty License within a specified timeframe after hiring.

Key Responsibilities
Receptionist Duties:
- Manage telephone communications and direct callers appropriately
- Welcome and guide visitors to the organization
- Receive, sort, scan, and distribute incoming mail
- Handle all outgoing mail processes
- Assist in the ordering, receiving, stocking, and distribution of office supplies
- Support other clerical tasks such as photocopying and scanning as needed
- Additional duties may be assigned to fulfill business requirements
Account Assistant Duties:
- Support Account Managers and Producers with processing:
- Certificates of Insurance
- Evidence of Insurance
- Auto ID Cards
- Endorsements
- Policy preparation
- Miscellaneous clerical tasks to ensure quality service to clients and team members
- Other responsibilities may be assigned to meet business needs
Qualifications
Education and Experience:
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- Preferred knowledge or experience in the insurance sector
Required Skills:
- Strong communication skills, including listening, speaking, and writing
- Exceptional interpersonal abilities: professional, approachable, and capable of effective interaction with others, especially in high-pressure situations
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and follow directions
- Team-oriented with the ability to collaborate effectively
- Proficient in computer usage for correspondence, data entry, email, internet, spreadsheets, and accessing company systems
- Dependable and punctual
- Good organizational and time-management capabilities
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Physical Requirements:
The physical demands of this position include regular verbal communication and listening for instructions. The role requires prolonged periods of sitting, often in front of a computer, and the ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds occasionally. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
