The Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Engineer to join our team in Austin, Texas. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, analyzing, and troubleshooting electrical power systems.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Perform engineering work, including analysis, studies, and design, for industrial power systems.
  • Develop and configure microprocessor-based relays for generator and transformer protection.
  • Conduct short-circuit, protective device coordination, and arc-flash studies.
  • Review and approve ongoing and completed engineering work, ensuring deadlines are met and work is completed with accuracy and high quality.
  • Make onsite visits to customer sites and interact with customers to gather critical information, resolve project issues, and review engineering plans.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, with a focus on Power Systems.
  • At least 5 years of field experience with relevant power systems, preferably with relaying, system studies, or design.
  • Experience with low, medium, and high-voltage equipment, as well as protection and control SEL relay testing.
  • Ability to clearly and effectively communicate in English, both verbally and in writing.
  • Previous supervisory or project leadership experience is a plus.
