Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled IPTW Foreman to join our team at Matrix. As a key member of our fabrication team, you will be responsible for supervising and coordinating the activities of fabrication craft workers, ensuring the safe and efficient production of high-quality steel fabrications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of fabrication craft workers to meet production schedules and quality standards.
  • Convey company policies and safety regulations to workers and enforce compliance.
  • Survey blueprint drawings to determine work procedures and ensure accurate execution.
  • Determine labor support and operating equipment needs based on schedule and volume of work.
  • Establish and adjust work sequences to meet production schedules and optimize productivity.
Requirements
  • 1-5 years of foreman experience in the steel fabrication industry.
  • 5+ years of experience as a fitter welder or machine operator/burn operator in steel fabrication.
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written, with proficiency in computer software.
  • Knowledge of safety, health, and environmental regulations and procedures.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical information, such as blueprints and codes.
  • Strong supervisory skills to manage multiple craft workers.
  • Basic computer skills, including scheduling and tracking materials and completed parts.
Working Conditions

This position requires frequent overtime and the ability to work at elevated heights from ladders, scaffolding, and aerial work platforms. The employee must be able to lift, push, pull, or carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds and work in a fast-paced environment with varying temperatures and noise levels.
