Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled IPTW Foreman to join our team at Matrix. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising and coordinating the activities of fabrication craft workers, ensuring the safe and efficient production of high-quality steel fabrications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and Coordinate Craft Workers: Oversee the activities of fabrication craft workers, providing direction and guidance to ensure the successful completion of projects.
  • Enforce Safety Protocols: Convey company policies to workers and enforce safety rules and regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Plan and Coordinate Production: Determine labor support and operating equipment needs, based on schedule and volume of work, to meet production deadlines.
  • Manage Team Performance: Establish and adjust work sequences to meet production schedules, ensuring all craftsman are working at an acceptable productivity level for their classification and experience level.
  • Maintain Quality Standards: Ensure all production schedules are achieved and a high quality of work is being maintained.
  • Administrative Tasks: Complete daily timecards, assist with discrepancies, and perform other job-related duties as requested by supervision.
Requirements
  • Experience: 1-5 years of foreman experience and 5+ years of experience as a fitter welder or machine operator/burn operator in the steel fabrication industry.
  • Skills: Good communication skills, knowledge of safety, health, and environmental information, strong organizational skills, and ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical information.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
