Key Responsibilities of the Bartender:

  • Exhibit a vibrant, outgoing, and enjoyable demeanor while upholding professionalism.
  • Perform diverse tasks to guarantee adherence to all service protocols.
  • Deliver courteous, professional, and friendly customer service.
  • Effectively communicate with both colleagues and patrons.
  • Skillfully mix ingredients and craft cocktails and other beverages following established recipes.
  • Serve wine and both bottled and draft beer.
  • Receive beverage orders from serving staff or directly from guests.
  • Engage with co-workers and guests in a clear, patient, and humorous manner.
  • Complete all assigned side work efficiently.
  • Possess in-depth knowledge of products to enhance guest experiences and promote food and beverage offerings.
  • Verify guests' identification to confirm they meet minimum age requirements for alcohol consumption.
  • Promote current offerings to guests.
  • Accurately document and process all orders and secure payments from guests.
  • Maintain accurate records of all sales and tips in accordance with company policies.
Qualifications for the Bartender Role:
  • A minimum of 1-2 years of experience in bartending at high-volume establishments.
  • Familiarity with various liquor brands, beers, wines, champagnes, non-alcoholic beverages, glassware, preparation techniques, and garnishments.
  • Formal bartending training is preferred.
  • Must comply with state legal age requirements.
  • Fluency in English is required; additional languages are a plus.
  • Strong communication skills are essential for interactions with guests, kitchen staff, wait staff, and supervisors.
  • Possession of alcohol awareness certification and/or food service permit or valid health/food handler card as mandated by local or state regulations.
  • Reading and writing skills are frequently utilized for order taking and paperwork.
  • Basic mathematical skills are often necessary.
  • Availability to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays may be required.
Physical Requirements for the Bartender Position:
  • Ability to handle, carry, or lift items weighing up to 50 pounds (such as barware, boxes, bottles, etc.).
  • Efficiently navigate the bar, lounge, and kitchen areas.
  • Safely handle food, objects, products, and utensils.
  • Capability to bend, stand, stoop, and kneel as needed.
