Key Responsibilities of the Bartender:

  • Exhibit a vibrant, outgoing, and engaging personality while upholding professionalism.
  • Perform various tasks to ensure adherence to the proper service protocols.
  • Deliver courteous, professional, and attentive customer service.
  • Effectively communicate with colleagues and patrons.
  • Prepare cocktails and other beverages according to established recipes.
  • Serve wine and both bottled and draft beers.
  • Take drink orders from serving staff or directly from guests.
  • Maintain clear, patient, and friendly communication with coworkers and guests.
  • Complete assigned side work efficiently.
  • Possess in-depth knowledge of products to enhance guest experiences and promote food and beverage offerings.
  • Verify guests' identification to ensure compliance with age restrictions for alcohol consumption.
  • Promote current offerings and specials to guests.
  • Accurately document and process all orders and payments from guests.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales and tips in accordance with company policies.
Qualifications for the Bartender Role:
  • 1-2 years of experience in bartending at high-volume establishments.
  • Familiarity with various liquor brands, beers, wines, and non-alcoholic beverages.
  • Formal bartending training is preferred.
  • Must meet the legal age requirements as per state regulations.
  • Fluency in English is required; additional languages are a plus.
  • Strong communication skills are essential for interaction with guests and staff.
  • Possession of alcohol awareness certification and/or food service permit as mandated by local regulations.
  • Proficient reading and writing skills for order taking and paperwork.
  • Basic mathematical skills are frequently utilized.
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays may be required.
Physical Requirements for the Bartender Position:
  • Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds (e.g., barware, boxes, bottles).
  • Capability to navigate the bar, lounge, and kitchen safely and efficiently.
  • Proficient in handling food, products, and utensils safely.
  • Physical stamina for bending, standing, stooping, and kneeling.
