Senior Accountant, Global Capex Accounting

Job Summary

Equinix is seeking a seasoned accounting professional to join our Global Capex team. As a Senior Accountant, Global Capex Accounting, you will leverage your technical and organizational skills to drive process improvements and standardization in support of global operations. Your expertise in accounting, information technology, and software will enable you to identify opportunities for automation and recommend optimal system tools and enhancements.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Policy:
  • Review and monitor non-standard transactions, ensuring compliance with US and Local GAAP
  • Lead the Accounting team in executing conclusions and identifying process gaps
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of Lean quality improvement principles
Disclosures and External Reporting:
  • Review additional disclosures for SEC reporting
  • Design governance structures for global consistency
Management Reporting:
  • Review month-end management reporting
  • Provide expertise and best practice recommendations to Management
  • Assist in developing KPIs for the Global Capex organization
Business Partnering:
  • Collaborate with the Continuous Improvement function and Finance Transformation & Strategy team on process automation
  • Lead the implementation of process improvements and system automation
People Management:
  • Provide leadership and direction to the team, ensuring overall success
  • Manage team activities, including results, costs, methods, and staffing
Accounting Systems & COA:
  • Experience with Oracle Cloud and Oracle R12 suite, with a focus on Fixed Asset Manager
  • Knowledge of RPA technology and its impact on Accounting Processes
Technical Accounting:
  • Work with stakeholders to reach and document accounting conclusions
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with evolving US GAAP requirements
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in accounting
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
  • CPA certification preferred
