Key ResponsibilitiesInventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory levels, distribute and replenish parts and supplies as needed.
Procurement: Order and distribute special ordered parts and supplies, ensuring timely delivery and quality control.
Reporting and Record-Keeping: Generate accident and fabrication work orders, monthly spreadsheets for reimbursement, and other reports as required.
Communication: Coordinate with vendors, city technicians, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless communication and efficient workflow.
Financial Management: Process invoices for payment, create purchase orders, and manage budget allocations for parts and supplies.
Quality Control: Evaluate inventory levels, track tire usage, and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
Experience: Five years of experience in an automotive and/or heavy equipment parts fleet environment, with a strong emphasis on purchasing.
Skills: Strong knowledge of automotive parts, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and excellent communication and organizational skills.
License: Valid Colorado driver's license and acceptable driving record required.
The work environment/physical activities described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of the job. Work is primarily performed in an indoor environment with occasional exposure to excessive noise. This position requires moderate physical work with moderate lifting, pushing, or pulling of objects up to 50 pounds occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds frequently.
