Key Responsibilities- Conduct Initial Assessments and Evaluations: Conduct thorough initial assessments and evaluations to determine patient eligibility for treatment services.
- Develop and Implement Treatment Plans: Collaborate with patients to establish and review treatment plans, ensuring a comprehensive approach to their care.
- Provide Counseling Services: Offer individual and group counseling sessions to patients, focusing on crisis management, coping strategies, and overall well-being.
- Collaborate with Healthcare Team: Work closely with doctors, nurses, and other counselors to ensure seamless care coordination and patient outcomes.
- Document Patient Progress: Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient progress, including bio-psychosocial assessments and treatment plan updates.
- Respond to Patient Grievances: Address patient concerns and complaints in a timely and professional manner.
- Develop Aftercare Plans: Create personalized aftercare plans to support patients in their recovery journey.
- Education and Credentials: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Behavioral Science, with the ability to obtain AAP credentials within 180 days of employment.
- Experience and Skills: Substance abuse counseling experience, with a preference for advanced degrees and EMR system proficiency.
- Personal Qualities: Demonstrate a positive, non-judgmental, and accepting attitude toward patients, with a strong understanding of electronic medical records.
- Certifications and Clearances: Satisfactory drug screen and criminal background check.
