Job OverviewWe seek a seasoned Chief Production Officer to join our team for a new AAA PC and Console ARPG project. This production leader will oversee a large team of direct and indirect reports, leveraging extensive knowledge of leadership, management, communication, and production practices to drive successful outcomes. They must motivate, support, and guide others to achieve business objectives while fostering a positive team culture.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the game development process to ensure timely delivery, adherence to budget, and high-quality results that meet project vision.
- Collaborate with discipline team leads to maintain and update organizational structures, processes, and project plans, ensuring the team produces high-quality work on time and within budget.
- Advocate for goals and team principles to promote a healthy and supportive work environment.
- Identify potential hazards and guide the team through the normal game development process.
- Develop and communicate best practices across the team.
- Build strong communication channels across distributed teams in multiple time zones.
- Collaborate with design, engineering, and QA to prioritize player experience and deliver polished gameplay.
- Effectively communicate game core to other parts of the organization and leverage available resources.
- Facilitate regular progress reviews and presentations with cross-functional teams and external partners, highlighting key milestones and risk mitigation strategies.
- Oversee milestone planning and execution, ensuring alignment between internal and external teams for production, alpha, beta, and go-to-market preparations.
- Develop individualized growth plans for production team members.
- 10+ years of experience leading multidisciplinary teams through all stages of development with at least 2 games shipped as Executive Producer or equivalent role.
- In-depth understanding of the game development process and ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams.
- Extensive knowledge of RPG, ARPG, and Looter Shooter game systems, balance, and variety.
- Able to motivate, support, and guide others to achieve successful outcomes and business objectives.
- Experience with various project management tools.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal).
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Proven problem-solving skills.
- Competitive salary: $163,400 - $241,820 per year.
