What is the role?

We are in search of a skilled, highly driven, hands-on engineering professional who is results-oriented. The selected candidate will engage in projects that necessitate experience and discernment to navigate a variety of variables. These initiatives are aimed at aiding the facility and departments in enhancing safety, elevating quality, boosting service, increasing production, and/or minimizing costs through advancements in processes, products, equipment, materials, and/or methodologies. This role demands a diverse skill set, ranging from practical troubleshooting of processes to overseeing various projects from initiation to completion.

Key Responsibilities include:
  • Provide leadership and/or project management within the facility or collaborate cross-functionally with other teams as required.
  • Implement and advocate for Lean Manufacturing principles to consistently enhance cycle times and process flows.
  • Identify, support, or direct the execution of initiatives aimed at reducing waste across all manufacturing or business processes.
  • Employ structured problem-solving techniques for data-driven analysis and decision-making.
  • Contribute significantly to manufacturing enhancement team activities utilizing continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Document standard operating procedures (SOPs) and train personnel to execute processes accurately and safely.
  • Develop start-up protocols and standard process monitors to ensure the health of the production line and identify any out-of-control processes. Utilize a data-driven approach to center line and calibrate all equipment settings.
  • Proficient in SolidWorks and capable of reading, analyzing, interpreting, and generating engineering drawings.
  • Collaborate closely with all departments on various plant priorities.
  • Possess a solid understanding of the capitalization process for projects and ensure all initiatives are executed within the allocated budget.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Manager.
Is this position right for you?

What do you bring to the table?
  • A knowledge base equivalent to a bachelor's degree in mechanical, manufacturing, or industrial engineering or a related field.
  • 2 to 6 years of experience in a manufacturing setting.
  • Three or more years of manufacturing experience; Continuous Improvement/Lean Management experience is highly preferred.
  • A self-starter with the ability to prioritize tasks and thrive in a dynamic environment.
  • Proven analytical, influence, and negotiation capabilities.
  • Strong leadership qualities and a commitment to achieving results against challenging performance metrics.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Capacity to quickly adapt to new systems and platforms.
  • Willingness to relocate now and in the future to one of our production facilities (Preferred).
