Job Opportunity

This part-time medical teaching position is available at State Fair Community College, located in a scenic area of central Missouri. The successful candidate will teach competent, professional, entry-level medical assistants and be responsible for their cognitive, psychomotor, and affective learning domains.

About the Role

The job involves on-line and/or on-ground instruction (didactic and skills lab) for the medical assisting program. This requires a credentialed Medical Assistant with a current CCMA, CMA, or RMA certification, along with a minimum of 2 years' full-time experience working as a Medical Assistant within the last 5 years. Additionally, an AAS/AA degree is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • To prepare students for a career in medical assisting by covering the essential aspects of the field.
  • Teach classes on-ground one day a week and contribute to online instruction where needed.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of medical assisting practices and technologies to enhance student learning.

Requirements

  • Candidates must have excellent oral and written communication skills to effectively engage students and convey complex information.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to the philosophy and mission of community colleges, recognizing the diverse needs of students and staff.
  • Possess strong organizational skills to manage multiple responsibilities and priorities.
