Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Bridge Housing Corporation. As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for performing daily, weekly, and monthly tasks associated with the repair and maintenance of our properties and individual resident units.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintenance of Property and Resident Units
    • Perform routine maintenance tasks on individual apartment units, including turnarounds, garbage disposals, toilets, locks, painting, re-caulking, and carpet cleaning.
    • Ensure the exterior of the property, including gates, entrances, garage doors, trash pick-up and removal, is well-maintained.
    • Inspect and maintain interior courtyards and walkways, including light fixtures, hallways, inside windows, vents, and trash and garbage enclosures.
    • Perform routine maintenance tasks on laundry rooms and washer/dryer equipment.
    • Ensure the front lobby, community rooms, and leasing office are well-maintained.
  • Work with Vendors and Contractors
    • Work with outside vendors and contractors to fulfill work orders and ensure timely completion of tasks.
  • Cleaning and Organization
    • Perform occasional cleaning of the property and common areas to maintain a clean and safe environment for residents.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Experience and Skills
    • Minimum one year of prior experience in facilities maintenance and repair, preferably in an apartment or residential setting.
    • Knowledge of basic home repair and troubleshooting of electrical, plumbing, home appliances, and kitchen & bathroom installations.
  • Physical Requirements
    • Able to lift 50 pounds from a standing position.
    • Able to lift objects overhead, pivot, and return to object to original position.
    • Able to bend, stoop, and work 30 minutes or longer in a crouched position.
