Nuclear Construction Specialist Job Description

At Dominion Energy, we're shaping the future of energy in America. We're looking for a Nuclear Construction Specialist to join our team. As a Nuclear Construction Specialist, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient construction of nuclear facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review design change packages and work requests to ensure compliance with station procedures and specifications.
  • Provide support to mechanical, electrical, or civil supervision in planning, scheduling, and man-loading of assigned projects.
  • Verify work is being performed in accordance with station procedures and specifications.
  • Coordinate construction activities between craft personnel and company personnel.
  • Verify work in the field for compliance with station procedures, safety, close-outs, and completion of job as scheduled.
  • Coordinate work with craft personnel.
  • Ensure all equipment and materials are available for work scope.
  • Provide budget input (manpower, duration, materials) for projects assigned.
  • Coordinate testing of completed systems.
  • Interface with stakeholders' departments to solve problems.
Requirements:
  • 2-3+ years of related experience.
  • 6+ years construction/projects experience.
  • Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, or civil design, procedures, and codes.
  • Familiarity with processes and procedures required to implement physical modifications to the facility.
  • Strong communication (written and oral) skills.
  • Organizational skills.
  • Computer proficiency including Maximo, SAP, DocTop, Microsoft Office Suite, and Plant Asset Management System (PAMS).
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Completion of Dominion Power Station Electrical / Mechanical Development Program Nuclear (PSEDPN) for Electrical or PSMDPN for Mechanical.
Working Conditions:

Office Work Environment: 51-75%

Travel: Up to 25%
