Job Title: Intensive Care Unit ICU Staff Nurse RN Night Shift

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team on the Intermediate Cardiac Care Unit at Inova Fairfax Hospital. The successful candidate will have a strong background in cardiology or telemetry and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Job Summary:

The Intermediate Cardiac Care Unit (ICCU) is a top-performing unit with a strong focus on teamwork, patient advocacy, and excellent patient care. Our team is dedicated to providing high-quality care to our patients, and we are seeking a nurse who shares our commitment to excellence.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide high-quality patient care to patients with a range of cardiac conditions, including AMI/NSTEMI/STEMI, interventional recovery, pre-operative open-heart patients, and CHF exacerbation.
  • Work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care to patients.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each patient.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless transitions of care.
  • Participate in unit-based education and training to stay up-to-date on the latest clinical practices and technologies.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 1 year of Registered Nurse clinical experience in the acute care setting.
  • BSN from an accredited school of nursing. Must complete BSN within 5 years of start date.
  • BLS for Healthcare Provider certification required. ACLS strongly preferred (must obtain within first 3 months).
  • Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Virginia or hold a privilege to practice in the State of Virginia under the Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC).
