Licensing Compliance Specialist

First Home Mortgage is seeking a highly skilled Licensing Compliance Associate to join our team. As a key member of our compliance department, you will play a critical role in ensuring our company, branches, and loan originators are properly licensed and compliant with state-specific requirements.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage state licenses for the company, its branches, and mortgage loan originators, ensuring timely renewals and applications.
- Monitor and track continuing education requirements for all licensed loan originators, ensuring compliance with state regulations.
- Provide training and support to employees on licensing requirements and processes, ensuring a deep understanding of the Nationwide Multistate Licensing System & Registry (NMLS).
- Stay informed of changes in state and federal licensing regulations, updating company practices accordingly.
- Manage and maintain accurate records in the NMLS, ensuring seamless tracking and communication of license progress.
- At least 2 years of experience in licensing within the mortgage industry, with a strong understanding of the NMLS and state-specific licensing requirements.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
