Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Patient Service Coordinator IV to join our team at Novant Health. This role will be responsible for processing referrals and performing Dimensions super-user functions such as practice support with EPIC or working the miscellaneous work queues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process referrals and ensure timely completion
  • Perform Dimensions super-user functions, including practice support with EPIC
  • Work miscellaneous work queues as needed
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve exceptional patient experience
  • Stay up-to-date with changing priorities and adapt to new challenges
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Three years of experience in a medical office setting required
  • Knowledge of medical office software, including updating patient demographic information, posting charges, copays, and scheduling patient appointments
  • Understanding of CPT and ICD9-CM coding processes
  • Excellent verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work with individuals of all cultures and levels of authority
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Initiative and ability to function as part of a team
  • Basic medical terminology required
  • High level of working knowledge of EPIC systems
  • Detailed knowledge of multiple payors billing requirements
  • Familiarity of coding requirements for practice specialty
