OBJECTIVE:
To act as a working supervisor, guiding the Custodial team in executing various tasks to uphold the cleanliness of the facility. Ensuring that visitors have a delightful experience while engaging with the environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Maintain a safe and clean work environment for all staff and guests.
Deliver exceptional service to both internal and external customers.
Assist in overseeing Custodial staff, which includes managing daily task assignments, monitoring attendance, and facilitating training sessions.
Conduct inspections to guarantee that cleanliness standards are upheld. Provide valuable feedback for performance evaluations.Serve as the primary point of contact for Custodians in the absence of a Housekeeping Supervisor.
Contribute to the development and refinement of cleaning protocols.
Support inventory management by tracking equipment usage.
Inspect equipment prior to operation and perform routine maintenance as needed.
Maintain logs for equipment usage and other necessary records.
Utilize power cleaning equipment as part of custodial responsibilities.
Ensure restrooms are cleaned and stocked with necessary supplies.
Maintain cleanliness in seating areas, escalators, elevators, railings, and other common areas.
Monitor and clean public spaces, including parks and food courts, during operational hours, addressing spills and litter as necessary.
Sweep and mop floors in shared spaces, including service corridors.Vacuum and deep clean carpeted areas.
May require cleaning high surfaces using ladders or lifts.
Provide assistance to other team leaders and departments as needed.
Support snow removal efforts when required.
Demonstrate consistent and reliable attendance.
Additional responsibilities may be assigned.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Prior leadership experience is advantageous.
Strong skills in time management and multitasking.
Familiarity with safe handling of custodial equipment and materials.
Ability to perform physical tasks related to cleaning and maintenance duties.
Willingness to work flexible shifts, including nights and weekends.1-2 years of experience in a cleaning or custodial role is preferred.
