Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and manage individual patient care
  • Elicit and review patient information to provide proper assessment, diagnosis, and treatment
  • Examine patients to determine the nature of their condition
  • Perform various treatments, including extractions, treatments for injured teeth, and filling cavities
  • Design and make dentures to replace missing or diseased teeth
  • Educate patients on oral and dental hygiene
  • Administer local anesthetics as needed
  • Supervise the taking and reading of dental X-rays
  • Prescribe and administer medications and vaccinations according to national and organizational standards of care
  • Thoroughly document patient visits
  • Strive to achieve organization quality goals
  • Actively support organization quality initiatives
  • Follow established regulations and professional standards

Requirements:

  • Active unrestricted DDS or DMD license in the state of Kentucky
  • Valid DEA license
  • Current training in basic life support (CPR)
