About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Retail Banker to join our team at PenFed Credit Union. As a Retail Banker, you will play a critical role in extending member relationships by offering appropriate financial solutions and services to meet our members' needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver exceptional member service by meeting or exceeding goals in a member-centric, results-driven environment.
  • Develop strong interpersonal skills to engage with members, convey sincere interest in building/deepening relationships, and demonstrate a commitment to providing personalized service.
  • Utilize industry-leading solutions to meet the unique life needs of our members, including home ownership, wealth management, financial education, and managing debt.
  • Establish solid relationships with teammates, business partners, and internal networks by fostering teamwork and collaboration.
  • Provide assistance with cash transactions, loan applications, and disbursements to ensure a seamless member experience.
  • Remain knowledgeable of the competitive landscape within the financial services industry and adapt to changing demands and requirements.
  • Provide support to other branches, including working weekends and/or extended hours as required to operate the business.
Requirements
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience is considered.
  • Associate Degree in a related field, such as business management, business administration, or finance.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of demonstrated successful sales experience.
  • Minimum of at least six (6) months of cash handling experience.
  • Experience in financial services and knowledge of financial services industry, products, and solutions.
  • Valid Notary Public, preferred.
  • Bilingual, preferred.
  • Previous phone-based customer service experience, preferred.
