Fitness Instructor

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Fitness Instructor to join our team at Hardin-Simmons University. As a Fitness Instructor, you will be responsible for leading group exercise classes, creating a safe and engaging environment for participants, and providing excellent customer service.

• Lead group exercise classes, including setup and teardown of equipment
• Create a safe and engaging environment for participants, including modifying exercises to meet individual needs
• Provide excellent customer service, including responding to participant inquiries and concerns
• Stay current on group fitness training techniques and best practices
• Inspect and maintain group exercise equipment and stereo equipment
• Report to the Director on class participation size and any concerns that may arise

• Current group fitness training certification through ACE, NASM, AFAA, ACSM, CSCS, or NCAA
• Current CPR certification
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to adapt to changing situations and priorities

This is a non-exempt position, and the employee will be required to work a variable schedule, including evenings and weekends. The employee will also be required to maintain a safe and clean work environment.
