Your ability to build rapport with students, teachers, and colleagues will be essential in creating a positive and productive classroom atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist students in small groups or individually to reinforce learning concepts initially introduced by certified staff.
  • Model appropriate behaviors for students and develop a professional rapport with the classroom teacher and other staff members.
  • Supervise students during lunch and recess periods, ensuring their safety and well-being.
  • Assist with grading and reviewing homework as instructed by the classroom teacher.
  • Collaborate with teachers to monitor student performance and progress, collecting data and maintaining accurate records.
Requirements
  • An Associate's degree or completion of 48 semester hours or 72 quarter hours at an institution of higher learning.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in assisting with instruction via state-approved competency test.
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding student and staff information.
  • Ability to walk, stand, bend, twist, balance, stoop, climb steps, and reach overhead.
