We are seeking a highly skilled Diagnostic Imaging Specialist III to join our team at Novant Health. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the delivery of high-quality medical services.
Key Responsibilities- Assist Physicians in Diagnostic Procedures: Collaborate with physicians to prepare patients for diagnostic imaging procedures, operate ultrasound equipment, and obtain diagnostic scans.
- Operate Ultrasound Equipment: Utilize advanced ultrasound technology to capture high-quality images and provide accurate diagnostic information.
- Provide Patient Care: Ensure patient comfort and safety throughout the imaging process, providing clear instructions and addressing any concerns or questions.
- Maintain Equipment and Supplies: Perform routine maintenance on ultrasound equipment, order supplies, and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Stay Current with Industry Developments: Participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in diagnostic imaging and ultrasound technology.
- Education: Associate's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a related field, preferred. Graduate of an ARRT-approved program or CAAHEP-recognized Sonography program, required.
- Experience: Minimum of three years of experience in sonography, required.
- Licensure/Certification: Certified and registered by ARDMS in three specialties, including Vascular Technology, Pediatric Sonography, and Obstetrics and Gynecology. Vascular Technology certification by ARRT in Vascular Sonography, RT(S)(VS) or RDMS, RT(VS) or ARDMS in Vascular Technology, RDMS, RVT, VT or CCI in Vascular Ultrasound, RT(S), RVS or RDMS, RVS, required. Pediatric Sonography certification by RDMS, PS or Obstetrics/Gynecology certification by RDMS, OB/GYN, required. Applicable state license, required.
