Facilities Operations Specialist

The ideal candidate will possess strong customer service skills, be able to type routine reports, and have a working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, heating, and air conditioning repairs and maintenance.
You will make an impact by:
- Performing general operational services for common area maintenance, responding to requests for movement of materials, shipping and receiving, room setup and breakdown of classrooms and conference rooms, cleaning, spills, glass doors, etc.
- Managing communications with leadership and serving as a trusted resource between finance and capital spend departments.
- Receiving packages and deliveries, providing assistance with the shipping and handling of large items and boxes.
- Replenishing lounge/breakroom supplies and maintaining area cleanliness.
- Performing daily/weekly/monthly building audits and making relevant corrections.
- Performing and/or coordinating preventative maintenance; cleaning, adjusting, and repairing equipment and systems.
- Participating in the coordination, monitoring, scheduling, and execution of facility-related activities, service/requests with contractors and special events.
- Troubleshooting problems, repairing, testing, and making adjustments, as necessary.
- Maintaining tools and equipment required for maintenance/repair tasks and inventory of related materials.
Your experience should include:
- 2+ years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
- Clean and valid driver's license required.
- Strong customer service orientation and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Excellent time management skills and functions well under pressure of deadlines and conflicting priorities.
- Self-starter capable of operating with little daily supervision and the ability to escalate issues when and where appropriate.
- Flexible to meet the demands of the department including travel and after-hours work with the ability to drive/travel locally to respond to afterhours/weekend emergencies as requested.
- Estimated salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per annum, depending on location and experience.
