Product Development Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Product Development Engineer to join our team. As a Product Development Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing and creating new and existing product improvements and cost reductions while integrating the needs of sales and manufacturing for the organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Execute all phases of product development from design concepts to release for production
  • Develop, document, and control each project plan from initial design concepts to initial production
  • Manage new development projects, including schedules, costs, tooling, and agency approvals
  • Perform solid modeling designs to maintain design integrity
  • Evaluate products for stress analysis, fluid flow, strength of materials, metallurgy, static analysis, and elements of machine design for designing products
  • Plan and budget entire product development projects from design concepts to initial production
  • Interpret engineering drawings, checking for accuracy, dimensional tolerances, and completeness of all design drawings and specification sheets
  • Attend product repair and/or witness testing at national laboratories for completing approvals and listings of new and revised product designs
  • Promote a safe workplace by performing all tasks in a safe and thoughtful manner, in compliance with all rules, procedures, instructions, devices, equipment, and use of appropriate personal protective equipment
  • Perform other duties as directed
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering and/or related field
  • Master's Degree is preferred
  • 10+ years of engineering experience in mechanical design and/or related field
  • Experience with sprinkler system and plumbing standards and practices is preferred
