Job Summary:

PSN Affiliates is seeking a skilled PACU RN to join our team in Plano, TX. As a key member of our preoperative team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth transition of patients from admission to surgery. Your expertise in preoperative care will be invaluable in providing exceptional patient experiences.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate patient registration and pre-admission testing

• Manage patient admission processes to the preoperative department

• Assess patient health status and ensure accurate identification wristbands

• Ensure operative and informed consents are in order

• Determine surgeon and procedure being carried out

• Take and record vital statistics to ensure readiness for surgical procedure

• Initiate IVs and inform patients about the procedure and attending medical staff

Requirements:

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program

• Minimum of two years' experience in surgery or completed specialty class for clinical nurse

• Current Texas Nursing License

• Current certification as a BLS Healthcare Provider

• ACLS and PAL required
