Qualifications:
- A minimum of 1 year of experience in a senior care environment.
- Valid Certification in caregiving or med tech.
- Completion of a criminal background check and any additional required screenings.
- Two verifiable references and adherence to all certification, training, and regulatory requirements.
- Reliable transportation for client visits.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) and Instrumental Activities of Daily Living (iADLs) according to the established care plan.
- Build trusting relationships with clients and their families, ensuring confidentiality.
- Maintain a safe and hygienic environment for clients.
- Provide support for clients and their families, including assistance with household tasks, personal care, documentation, and meal preparation.
- Facilitate therapy exercises as directed in the care plan.
- Monitor healthcare needs, including medication reminders.
- Encourage client independence and participation in activities to enhance mental alertness.
- Document client activities, mood, challenges, and relevant information accurately and promptly.
- Report any changes in client status or home environment to the supervisor.
- Participate in required in-service training as mandated by state and federal regulations.
