Position Overview

The Radiologic Technologist adheres to departmental protocols and complies with safety regulations, including life safety, fire safety, hazardous waste management, radiation safety, and infection control standards. The role requires maintaining licensure, staying updated with departmental training, and performing various procedures such as portable imaging, emergency room imaging, trauma imaging, fluoroscopy, and general radiography as necessary. Demonstrating courteous behavior and a positive attitude through respectful communication with colleagues and guests is essential.

Understanding the importance of delivering excellent customer service, both internally and externally, is crucial. The technologist is responsible for maintaining the work environment, reporting equipment maintenance issues, monitoring supplies, and ensuring proper documentation for each department. Participation in clinical activities, such as assisting with patient flow and care, is expected to optimize patient throughput. Compliance with timekeeping rules is mandatory, and attendance at staff meetings is encouraged to stay informed and support departmental initiatives.

Experience in general, portable, emergency department, trauma, fluoroscopy, and pediatrics is preferred.

Required Qualifications

Completion of patient care and safe handling training is necessary.

Educational Background

Must be a graduate of an AMA-approved Radiology Technologist Program and be registry eligible. A New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (NJ DEP) license is required upon hire.

Licensure and Certification

Must possess ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification and current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

NJDEP license in Radiology Technology is required.
