Key Responsibilities:

As a Medical Laboratory Scientist, you will take charge of clinical laboratory testing that is crucial for patient care and diagnosis. Your duties will include:

  • Conducting routine and specialized laboratory tests.
  • Ensuring quality control and performing preventative maintenance.
  • Managing inventory and compiling statistical data.
  • Engaging in quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives.
  • Participating in laboratory education and training for new staff.
Qualifications:
Essential Requirements:

  • Baccalaureate Degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or an Associate's degree in Medical Laboratory Technician Studies or a related scientific field.
  • Current understanding of clinical laboratory techniques and principles.
Preferred Qualifications:

  • ASCP certification or equivalent credentials.
  • Certification in a specific area such as M(ASCP), H(ASCP), or C(ASCP).
  • Prior experience in a clinical laboratory setting as a Medical Laboratory Technician or Scientist.
