As a Medical Laboratory Scientist, you will take charge of clinical laboratory testing that is crucial for patient care and diagnosis. Your duties will include:
- Conducting routine and specialized laboratory tests.
- Ensuring quality control and performing preventative maintenance.
- Managing inventory and compiling statistical data.
- Engaging in quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives.
- Participating in laboratory education and training for new staff.
Essential Requirements:
- Baccalaureate Degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or an Associate's degree in Medical Laboratory Technician Studies or a related scientific field.
- Current understanding of clinical laboratory techniques and principles.
- ASCP certification or equivalent credentials.
- Certification in a specific area such as M(ASCP), H(ASCP), or C(ASCP).
- Prior experience in a clinical laboratory setting as a Medical Laboratory Technician or Scientist.
