Job Summary:

Chase Staffing formerly Chase Professionals is seeking a highly skilled Tool and Die Maker to join our team. As a key member of our manufacturing department, you will be responsible for designing, building, and testing precision metal tools and dies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and Development: Read and interpret blueprints, design schematics, and CAD drawings to visualize and compute metal shapes and tolerances.
  • Tooling and Fabrication: Design and build jigs and templates as work aids in the fabrication of parts, and measure and mark metal stock for machining.
  • Machining and Setup: Set up machine tools such as drills, lathes, grinders, and milling machines, and cut and shape blocks to specified dimensions.
  • Quality Control: Inspect finished dies and tools for defects, smoothness, and contour deformities, and conduct test runs with completed tools and dies.

Requirements:

  • Education: Technical degree in Machine tool or tool and die.
  • Experience: Experience working as a tool and die maker, with in-depth knowledge of machine tools and their uses.
  • Skills: Ability to read and interpret blueprints and design schematics, extensive experience with metalworking tools, and ability to lift heavy objects and operate large machinery.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent attention to detail, advanced troubleshooting skills, and experience with quality control analysis.
