CentraState Medical Center is in search of a Chief Security Supervisor to ensure the safety and security of the hospital, its personnel, assets, and pharmaceuticals. This role involves managing traffic flow around the hospital premises, prioritizing the welfare and safety of patients and staff. Additionally, the Chief Security Supervisor will coordinate hospital courier services.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a liaison during patient management scenarios.
  • Act as the Security representative until the department head arrives on-site.
  • Ensure adequate staffing for the subsequent shift.
  • Check emails daily prior to the first post assignment.
  • Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of and adherence to all Security policies and procedures.
  • Handle confidential information strictly as directed by management.
  • Assist in the orientation and training of new security personnel.
  • Guarantee coverage for all security posts and watches.
  • Communicate professionally with departmental managers and supervisors.
  • Provide guidance and support to security officers.
  • Prioritize and arrange special pickups and deliveries.
  • Notify Security management as necessary.
  • Monitor and report on staff performance.
  • Report 15 minutes prior to the assigned shift for debriefing.
  • Serve as a valet and courier when required.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Work Experience:

Preferred 3 years of experience as a security officer in an industrial or institutional setting.

Licenses and Certifications:

Valid NJ driver's license.

Non-violent Crisis Intervention certification required, with renewals every two years.

Completion of assigned education from the Crisis Prevention Institute is mandatory.

Supervisory level IAHSS certification must be obtained within one year of hire.

Required Knowledge and Skills:

Proven leadership capabilities and exceptional organizational skills. Strong customer service orientation.
