Job Requirements

• Current certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) as a Registered Technologist (R.T.) or registry eligibility with certification by the ARRT pending
• Mammography (M) registration preferred or must obtain within one year of hire
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required

Key Responsibilities

• Perform screening and diagnostic mammogram procedures with a focus on high-quality patient care and compassion
• Prepare patients for procedures and provide instructions to obtain desired results while reducing patient anxiety
• Produce high-quality images while practicing radiation and physical safety measures
• Determine the most suitable positions for exams, considering patients' abilities and physical condition
• Assist radiologists with procedures as needed
• Familiarize yourself with procedure processes and supplies needed as requested by radiologists
• Collect and process patient questionnaires and required data pertaining to the exam
• Provide quality control measures and perform all required QA testing in compliance with MQSA, ACR, and state regulations
• Familiarize yourself with and perform general radiography exams as needed
• Comply with HIPAA policies
