Job Summary:

The Building People, LLC, is seeking a highly skilled Environmental Safety Manager to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all environmental and safety regulations, including those related to fire protection, occupational health and safety, and environmental protection.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in environmental management, with experience in implementing and managing environmental and safety programs. You will be responsible for conducting site visits, identifying hazards, and developing and implementing corrective actions to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Compliance and Regulatory Management: Ensure compliance with all environmental and safety regulations, including those related to fire protection, occupational health and safety, and environmental protection.
  • Site Visits and Hazard Identification: Conduct regular site visits to identify potential hazards and develop corrective actions to prevent accidents.
  • Program Development and Implementation: Develop and implement environmental and safety programs to ensure compliance with regulations and prevent accidents.
  • Training and Education: Provide training and education to employees on environmental and safety procedures and protocols.
  • Reporting and Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of environmental and safety activities, including site visits, inspections, and corrective actions.
Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Safety, or a related field.
  • Experience: 5 years of experience in environmental management, with a strong background in implementing and managing environmental and safety programs.
  • Certifications: OSHA Certification and AHERA Asbestos Inspector training.
  • Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with employees, management, and external stakeholders.
