Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate individual to work directly with students who have intensive behavioral and/or instructional needs. As a Behavior Technician, you will be responsible for implementing programming and behavior plans, collecting data, and creating teaching and classroom materials. You will also assist with classroom daily activities and lessons to help students develop skills and independence.

Responsibilities
  • Implement programming and behavior plans under supervised support to include data collection
  • Create teaching and classroom materials
  • Assist with classroom daily activities and lessons to help students develop skills and independence
  • Implement the Crisis Prevention Intervention model to support students with unwanted behaviors
Requirements
  • Ability to assist in lifts and/or physically manage students of varying sizes and weight
  • BCI & FBI background check
  • Reliable transportation
  • Desire to change lives
Physical Demands

The ability to participate in physical interventions, when necessary, using certified safety techniques (training provided). Physical interventions are a last resort and targeted to be reduced, however when they occur, they may require physical exertion. Physical requirements include, but are not limited to: kneeling, lifting, bending, twisting, and holding in a quick-paced environment.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position working Monday-Friday 8:30a.m. - 4:00 p.m. in a fast-paced environment.
