Job Overview

Position: Mechanical Apprentice

About the Role: As a Mechanical Apprentice at Craftsmen Resources, you will play a vital role in various construction initiatives, encompassing residential, commercial, and industrial sectors. Our standard work schedule is Monday to Friday, from 07:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with potential for overtime or adjusted hours based on project needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, assemble, and install a diverse range of sheet metal duct systems, including square, rectangular, round, and spiral configurations. Familiarity with flexible and fabric duct systems is advantageous.
  • Utilize mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and other relevant tools effectively.
  • Install, assess, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical and refrigeration systems, ensuring compliance and operational safety through appropriate testing equipment.
  • Interpret blueprints, schematics, and diagrams accurately.
  • Guide and mentor HVAC apprentices in the installation of HVAC, mechanical, and refrigeration systems.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and promote a culture of safety on-site.
  • Additional tasks may be assigned by your site supervisor.

Compensation: Pay is determined based on experience, ranging from $16 to $35 per hour.

Qualifications:

  • 1-5 years of experience in the construction HVAC/Mechanical field.
  • Ability to lift heavy items up to 40 pounds and perform physical tasks as required.
  • Capable of standing, bending, crouching, crawling, kneeling, and reaching.
  • Willingness to work a minimum of 40 hours per week, including overtime as necessary.
  • Possess or be able to obtain an apprentice or journeyman's license from the state licensing board.
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
