Position Summary: This role reports to the Culinary Management team at 310 Provisions. The Culinary Chef 1 supervises food service staff in compliance with established policies and regulations. Responsibilities include preparing food according to federal, state, and corporate standards, ensuring quality service, and maintaining sushi standards daily.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, season, and cook a variety of food items including stocks, soups, sauces, meats, vegetables, and desserts.
  • Estimate food requirements by reading menus and procuring necessary ingredients.
  • Adjust cooking equipment settings to maintain proper temperatures.
  • Measure and mix ingredients according to standardized recipes using various kitchen tools.
  • Cook meats, fish, and vegetables using appropriate methods while ensuring food safety standards are met.
  • Maintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment and adhere to HACCP procedures.

Additional Duties:

  • Ensure high-quality food preparation according to standardized recipes.
  • Keep storage areas organized and clean.
  • Operate kitchen equipment safely and effectively.
  • Assist with inventory management and supply ordering.
  • Report maintenance issues or accidents to supervisors promptly.
  • Participate in safety meetings and maintain positive relationships with colleagues and management.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Passion for culinary arts and delivering exceptional guest experiences.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a culinary environment with a focus on high-volume production.
  • Culinary education or equivalent experience is preferred.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Strong knife skills and knowledge of culinary techniques.
  • Ability to read and follow recipes accurately.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure and adapt to changing production needs.

Preferred Education:

  • Vocational training or high school diploma.
  • Culinary degree or equivalent experience.
  • Certification from a recognized culinary institution.
  • Basic knowledge of wine.
