Job Title: Professor of Criminology

We are seeking a highly qualified Professor of Criminology to join our faculty at North Central College. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching a range of undergraduate courses in the sociology curriculum, including sociological theory.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Teach undergraduate courses in sociology and criminology, including sociological theory
  • Develop and implement curriculum to meet the needs of students
  • Advise and mentor students in their academic and professional pursuits
  • Contribute to the development of the department's research agenda and scholarly activities
Requirements:
  • Ph.D. in Sociology or Criminology or closely related field by August 2025
  • Teaching excellence and a commitment to mentoring students
  • Research experience and a strong publication record
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and students
