Job Title: Professor of Sociology

The Department of Sociology, Criminology, & Anthropology at North Central College invites applications for a tenure-track position in Sociology to begin August 1, 2025. The successful candidate will be expected to teach a range of undergraduate courses in the sociology curriculum, including sociological theory.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Teach undergraduate courses in sociology, including sociological theory
  • Contribute to the development of the sociology curriculum
  • Pursue research and scholarship in sociology
  • Advise and mentor students
Requirements:
  • Ph.D. in Sociology or closely related field by August 2025
  • Commitment to excellence in teaching, mentoring, and scholarship
  • Experience working with diverse student populations and communities
