Job Title: Special Education Teacher

Supplemental Health Care is seeking a dedicated and passionate Special Education Teacher to join our team in Gilroy, California.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly qualified Special Education Teacher to provide exceptional educational support to students with diverse needs. As a Special Education Teacher, you will be responsible for creating and implementing individualized education plans, developing and implementing lesson plans, and providing instruction and support to students in a variety of settings.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans for students with diverse needs
  • Provide instruction and support to students in a variety of settings, including classrooms, special education rooms, and community-based settings
  • Collaborate with other educators, related service providers, and families to ensure comprehensive support for students
  • Assess student progress and adjust instruction to meet the needs of all learners
  • Communicate effectively with students, families, and colleagues to ensure a positive and supportive learning environment
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education or related field
  • Teaching certification with Schools Special Education Endorsement
  • Special Education Teaching Endorsement must meet position requirements
  • Multicategorical/Crosscategorical, intellectual, learning, and/or emotional disability special education certifications may be accepted
Benefits:
  • Competitive hourly rate: $56-$60 per hour
  • Full-time hours: 37 hours per week
  • Shift: 8 hours, days
  • Employment Type: Local Contract
