Job Title: Special Education Teacher

Supplemental Health Care is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Teacher to join our team in Gilroy, California.

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Special Education Teacher to provide support to students with diverse needs in a local contract setting. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in special education, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with students, teachers, and support staff.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs
  • Provide instruction and support to students in a variety of settings, including classrooms and small group settings
  • Collaborate with general education teachers and other support staff to ensure a comprehensive and inclusive educational experience
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and other stakeholders to ensure a smooth and successful educational experience
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current on best practices in special education
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education or a related field
  • Teaching certification with a Special Education endorsement
  • Experience working with students with diverse needs, including intellectual, learning, and emotional disabilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with students, teachers, and support staff
Benefits:
  • Competitive hourly rate: $56-$60 per hour
  • Full-time position with 40 hours per week
  • 8-hour shifts, days
