Job Overview

Fisher Associates, P.E., L.S., L.A., D.P.C. is a consulting engineering and professional services firm serving the Transportation, Land Development and Energy market sectors. Our comprehensive services include landscape architecture, planning, engineering, environmental, survey, GIS and construction representation.

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our Energy group as an intern. The primary function of this role is responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

• Establish and maintain strong client relationships adhering to the Fisher Clientship philosophy.
• Perform engineering analysis and design.
• Prepare cohesive and organized engineering calculations.
• Assist technical staff with day-to-day design tasks for several types of projects.
• Conduct basic engineering functions including design calculations and cost estimating under supervision.
• Collaborate as a member of the team to realize project deliverables and deadlines.
• Prepare construction specifications under direct supervision.
• Assist senior engineers or designers with organizing/preparing reports, studies, or bid packages.
• Participate in site visits and field inspections to gather data and assess project conditions, as needed.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Civil Engineering Technology or related field.
• Strong academic performance in relevant coursework.
• Familiarity with engineering principles, design codes, and standards.
• Excellent and professional communication skills both written and verbal.
• Excellent organizational, project management and time management skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Exhibit flexibility with assignments, workflow, or project changes.
• Listen and respond to feedback in a positive manner.
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office products, including Outlook, Word, and Excel
