About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Pet Store Team Lead to join our team at Pet Supplies Plus. As a key member of our store team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, leading by example, and ensuring a positive shopping experience for our customers and their pets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership and guidance to store team members to ensure exceptional customer service and a positive shopping experience.
  • Assist store team leaders in managing daily store operations, including inventory management, customer service, and sales.
  • Participate in store recruiting, onboarding, and team member development to ensure a high-performing team.
  • Communicate opportunities for improvement in community engagement and store performance to store team leaders.
  • Act as a store team member when not acting as the manager-on-duty or learning operational tasks.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 2+ years of retail experience, preferably in a pet-related industry.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Strong sales and customer service skills.
  • Ability to operate all equipment, including a forklift, to run the store.
  • Ability to work flexible schedules, have reliable transportation, and pass a drug screening (where allowed by law) and be 18 years or older.
