Position Overview

The Judicial Council of California is seeking a dedicated professional to fulfill the role of Senior Analyst within the Family Court Services (FCS) division. This position is integral to enhancing the quality of training and support provided to Family Court Services personnel across the state.

Key Responsibilities


• Spearhead the planning and execution of comprehensive training programs for FCS directors, supervisors, and managers, ensuring adherence to established legal standards.


• Collaborate closely with Directors to assess training needs related to evolving laws and regulations, focusing on the welfare of children affected by family disputes.


• Develop and design educational curricula, establishing clear learning objectives and ensuring compliance with continuing education requirements.


• Provide expert guidance and support to court-based FCS Directors, facilitating technical assistance and sharing best practices.


• Conduct research on innovative practices and technologies to enhance service delivery and share findings with FCS leadership.


• Partner with team members to contribute to mandatory statistical reporting and research initiatives.


• Offer expertise in interpreting data related to child custody mediation and associated services.


• Oversee the budget for training and research initiatives, ensuring effective allocation of resources.


• Collaborate with procurement and event services to secure contracts for speakers and venues.


• Act as a subject matter expert on various mediation service models, leading projects that address emerging issues in the field.


• Monitor and evaluate mediation service models implemented by courts, staying informed on new legislative requirements for FCS training.


• Lead the creation of training materials and technical assistance related to new statutory mandates, focusing on child safety and well-being.
