As a key member of our laboratory team, you will be responsible for performing and demonstrating proficiency in technical procedures on pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients in all disciplines of the Clinical Laboratory.
Key Responsibilities- Perform and demonstrate proficiency in technical procedures on pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients in all disciplines of the Clinical Laboratory, including Transfusion Service, Hematology, Chemistry, Coagulation, Urinalysis, and limited Microbiology.
- Provide technical support for problem resolution, regulatory compliance, and client issues to the Department Manager and Lead Technologist.
- Ensure the validity of test results, result reporting, specimen handling, and maintenance of necessary department records.
- Collaborate with laboratory staff to ensure efficient and effective laboratory operations.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance laboratory services and patient care.
- Bachelor's Degree in a physical, chemical, or biological science from a college or university accredited by the Western Association of Schools or Colleges, or the equivalent thereof.
- CLSL-Licensed Clinical Lab Scientist certification.
- A minimum of 6 months of experience in an acute hospital clinical laboratory working as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist - Generalist competent in all modalities, including Transfusion Service.
- Ability to work with laboratory information systems and Microsoft applications such as Word and Excel.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
This is a full-time position with a varied schedule, including rotating weekends. The salary range for this role is $58.32 to $73.89 per hour.
