Job Title: Senior Psychologist - Correctional Facility

California Correctional Health Care Services is seeking a highly skilled Senior Psychologist to join our team in a correctional facility setting. As a Senior Psychologist, you will play a critical role in providing mental health services to inmates, working closely with interdisciplinary treatment teams to develop and implement effective treatment plans.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide psychological assessments and treatment to inmates, including individual and group therapy sessions
  • Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with treatment teams
  • Consult with clinical, custody, and other personnel on program planning and evaluation
  • Provide training and education to staff on mental health topics
  • Participate in staff meetings and institutional committees evaluating inmates
Requirements:
  • Valid license as a Psychologist issued by the California Board of Psychology
  • Earned Doctorate Degree in Psychology from an educational institution meeting the criteria of Section 2914 of the Medical Board of California's Business and Professions Code
  • One year of experience in the California state service performing the duties of a Psychologist Clinical, Correctional Facility, or Staff Psychologist (any specialty)
  • Or two years of postdoctoral, postinternship experience in the practice of psychology involving assessment and treatment and either training, research, consultation, or program planning in mental health services
