Job Title: Oak Host

We are seeking a highly skilled and enthusiastic Oak Host to join our team at Oaklawn Racing Casino Resort. As an Oak Host, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a warm and welcoming experience for all.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide exceptional customer service to all guests, responding to their needs and resolving any issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Manage the front of house area, including seating guests, taking reservations, and handling cash and credit transactions.
  • Work collaboratively with the restaurant team to ensure seamless service and a positive dining experience for all guests.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to health and safety standards and ensuring a clean and welcoming environment for guests.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development to enhance skills and knowledge, staying up-to-date with company policies and procedures.
Requirements:
  • 1+ years of experience in a customer-facing role, preferably in the hospitality industry.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with guests, colleagues, and management.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
  • Basic math skills and accuracy with handling cash and credit transactions.
  • Availability to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
